Put off by the idea of having to wear traditional braces? At Invisibrace you don't have to, because we offer the virtually invisible, Invisalign treatment and we're good at it too. We've been recognised as Diamond Invisalign providers, which means we're one of the leading Invisalign orthodontic clinics in the UK.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign treatment uses a series of clear aligners to move your teeth into a straighter position. These aligners can close gaps between your teeth or realign them to give you a better bite. This not only helps improve your self-confidence by giving you a straighter smile, it can also improve your overall health. A better bite can help you digest your food better, ensuring you get the best nutrients available from your diet.
How does Invisalign work?
Invisalign treatment works using a series of clear plastic removable aligners. These aligners are created just for you, using 3D computer imaging software. This ensures they are made to your exact requirements and, as a bonus, are comfortable to wear.
Throughout the course of your treatment you will need to change your aligners every two weeks. Each set of aligners is slightly different than the previous one to encourage your teeth to move closer to their desired position. You will be required to wear the aligners for 22 hours a day, but can remove them for eating, brushing and flossing.
Benefits of Invisalign
Invisible treatment: The greatest benefit for patients wearing Invisalign, aside from the results the aligners can achieve, is that the aligners are practically invisible. This means no-one will know you're having treatment and you won’t need to feel self-conscious while wearing them.
Removable appliance: Another benefit of Invisalign treatment is that the aligners are removable. This means you can take them out for eating, brushing and flossing your teeth, enabling you to keep up your oral hygiene routine. They can also be taken out for important occasions, such as business meetings and presentations, family events, and even your wedding day!
Designed for results: During your initial consultations we'll take photos and impressions of your teeth. We use these impressions to have your Invisalign aligners made specifically for you. This means they are designed for your teeth and your teeth only, so you can be guaranteed the best result possible.
Compatible with dental monitoring: At Invisibrace, we use dental monitoring which enables us to track the movement of your teeth via a smartphone app. All you need to do is take weekly selfies of your teeth throughout your Invisalign treatment and send them to us via the dental monitoring app. We’ll compare the position of your teeth with your treatment plan and if it’s all on track there’s no need for you to come in for an appointment.
Who can be treated with Invisalign?
At Invisibrace, our specialist orthodontists are experienced in the use of Invisalign, as indicated by our Diamond Invisalign provider status. We can treat children, teens and adults with orthodontic problems using Invisalign.
Invisalign for adults: Invisalign is a popular treatment method among our adult patients for the benefits the method offers, as listed above. The aligners also work faster than traditional braces do so you can see results within 12 to 18 months.
Invisalign for teens: Invisalign isn't just for adults; it's also a great orthodontic treatment option for self-conscious teenagers, and it comes with many benefits for our teenage patients. Because the aligners are removable, teens can take them out for sports practices, when playing musical instruments, and even on occasions such as going to the school ball. Removing the aligners for short periods of time won't affect your teen's treatment.
Invisalign for children: Invisalign has come up with a version of their aligners just for our younger patients. Known as Invisalign First, these aligners are designed for children aged seven to 11 years of age, to help widen their jaw and address any early orthodontic problems that may arise. Using Invisalign during these early years, during what we call Phase 1 treatment, can help to reduce the extent of treatment your child may require during their teens.
